Safe and Healthy offers practical advice on many topics including safety around the home, as well as illness, accidents and care for children with pre-existing medical conditions.

Welcome to the IncNet!

This online community is for the whole Short Breaks workforce to connect and share useful information. Our members include Contract Carers, Befrienders, Play Workers, Practitioners, Service Managers, Trainers and Sitters...just to name a few!

Our Spring 2012 edition of Share is out now

This edition's theme is 'developing yourself in your short breaks role' and supports the completion of CWDC Standard 6 for overnight, contract and link carers. 

There are also useful articles about Play and Sensory Toys, Horse Boy Camps and Regional Groups.

All carers have recieved 2 copies each; please pass a copy onto a friend! You can also download a copy under the 'resources' tab!

Northern AGM and Training Day at Cleckheaton Golf Course, just off the M62

Northern Short Break's Annual General Meeting, for anyone involved with short breaks in the North of England.  Last year over 60 people attended, and it is a great opportunity to share good practice and meet colleagues from other areas. This year, workshops are going to include Epilepsy Awareness, Supporting Young People with Foetal Alcohol Syndrome and other sessions are yet to be confirmed, but will hopefully include play and communication.£15 for carers, £30 for scheme workers.  Includes lunch :)Please email mike.brown@tameside.gov.uk for more details and to book places (closing date for bookings is 1st May) See More
